HADAR JACOBSON
She always has been fascinated by textures, so she was thrilled to discover metal clay. "Struggling with sheet metal to create textures, I was only too happy to find a medium that I didn't have to fight with. It was love at first sight," she says. The first piece she made with metal clay was a collage of textures, which she still teaches to beginners and is the first project in her first book.

MY SOJOURN IN JAPAN
The moment I found out that Glyn Mitchell (of Zama UK) was organising a trip to Japan that would include a visit to the Aida Chemical Industries factory (where Art Clay™ is made), two days of Art Clay™ Master Classes, and a tour of Tokyo, I knew I had to sign up! In addition to organizers Glyn and Maria Mitchell, the nine other spaces were snapped up quickly by Art Clay™ artists from the UK (and a couple of husbands).

COMBINING SILVER, BRONZE AND COPPER CLAYS
I was thrilled to be invited to take part in Gordon Uyehara's 3-day workshop in Virginia, USA, which focused on two new base metal clay formulas, Prometheus bronze clay from Turkey and Art Clay™ Copper. This class would be the perfect opportunity not only to learn more about these two new clays but also to find out whether -and how- they could be combined successfully, both with each other and also with silver clay.

And much more! Don't miss an issue...

Metal Clay Artist Magazine™ offers you two ways to enjoy the magazine: a traditional print version and a downloadable/printable digital edition.
